What conditions can be helped by Rapid Release?

We use it to treat all kinds of issues that are caused by soft tissue scarring:

  • Ankle, knee, shoulder, elbow, back and neck pain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Contractures and joint and muscle stiffness
  • Headaches
  • Limited range of motion in joints
  • Muscle spasms
  • Neuromas
  • Adhesions formed in soft tissue, muscles, or tendons and ligaments
  • Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder in the jaw
  • Tendonosis
  • Trapped nerves

Why does scar tissue limit my mobility?

Scar tissue builds up in the body and affects the muscles and connective tissues. Over time, nerves can become trapped and the joint can become stiff, creating pain and limiting your range of motion. Using the Rapid Release Technique, it breaks down the scar tissue resulting in restored normal function. Pain and muscle tension go away, and you have full mobility of the joint once again.

What is a session like?

The doctor uses a device that creates a vibration to penetrate under the skin and into the scar tissue to loosen it. The device is a small machine with a wand-like device that delivers vibration to the tissues in small circular motions. It uses different vibration frequencies to target different problem areas, and there are five sizes of treatment heads to customize the technique to the unique injured area. The device stimulates the body to naturally begin the Tonic Vibration Reflex (TVR). This is a normal human neurological reaction that the body does to lower stress and relax muscles. Patients start to feel results in five minutes.
